‘THE VIZITORS’…NEXT STOP: GREECE

Tuesday January 30th, 2001 in News |

Jean Michel Jarre & Tetsuya ‘TK’ Komuro’s newly formed Band ‘THE VIZITORS’ are planning to perform a Concert in Greece during Summer 2001.

Provisionally planned for either June 15th or June 19th 2001, the Concert will be held at the Odeion of Herodes Atticus, an Ancient Amphitheatre in Athens.

The Venue itself is small, and will only seat around 5,000 people, so Tickets are expected to be highly sought after, should the Concert go ahead.

Officially there has been no confirmation that the Concert will go ahead, but out of all the possible Venues that Jean Michel Jarre has spoken of recently, including the UK, this is the only Venue that appears to be in the planning stages, with both Greek TV and Magazines reporting on the Concert.

‘2001 RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE’… WHAT WEB-CAST???

Friday January 5th, 2001 in News |

Jean Michel Jarre’s ‘2001 RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE’ in Okinawa, Japan, went ahead despite the bad weather on January 1st 2001, but unfortunately the same could not be said of the Web-Cast.

The Japanese Web-Cast failed to Web-Cast Jean Michel Jarre & Tetsuya ‘TK’ Komuro’s collaboration as ‘THE VIZITORS’, and only Web-Cast the rest of the Concert, leaving Fans angry and disappointed.

EuroNews (www.euronews.net), for a short time, hosted a 2 Minute Clip of the Concert, probably the only part of the Concert that Fans have actually seen (myself included), but this has since been removed.

According to Fans that actually witnessed the Concert, either being there or watching it on the LIVE TV Asahi Broadcast, ‘2001 RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE’ featured no original Jean Michel Jarre Tracks, only NEW, and as yet unreleased, ‘THE VIZITORS’ Tracks:-

OVERTURE (THEME OF 2001) - Featuring Laser Harp
THE VOYAGE
MY NAME IS ARTHUR
CHILDREN OF SPACE
NOBODY
RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE
RACE IN SPACE - Featuring Theremin

Jean Michel Jarre UK has learned that there might be a possibility of the Concert being made available to Fans via Jean Michel Jarre’s NEW Official Web-Site (www.jarre.net), although nothing has been confirmed as yet.

In the meantime you can Download Pictures from the LIVE TV Asahi Broadcast by pointing your Browser at www.geocities.co.jp/MusicHall/2772/jmj/tv/rend.html.
