Jean Michel Jarre will appear on Danish Television Station DR1’s ‘19 DIREKTE’ Programme tonight at 19:00 (7:00pm) (Local Time) to promote his proposed Denmark Concerts in Aalborg, Denmark.

Over the last fortnight, JARRE UK has been speaking to Jurgen Leyers of Belgian Trance Project ‘FIRE & ICE’, directly by Phone, regarding their Remix of Jean Michel Jarre’s 1982 Classic ‘SOUVENIR DE CHINE’, released on Vinyl Single in Belgium on September 3rd 2001.

Despite being played heavily in both UK and European Clubs, Jurgen Leyers told JARRE UK that he has been struggling to find any Record Company to release the ‘SOUVENIR DE CHINE’ Remix as a CD Single, and therefore we asked him if he had approached Jean Michel Jarre himself.

Jurgen Leyers had apparently tried to contact Jean Michel Jarre last year, but had failed to get a response, so JARRE UK arranged with Nathalie Gallois (www.jarre.net) the sending of a Letter from him to Jean Michel Jarre with a copy of the ‘SOUVENIR DE CHINE’ Remix for him to listen to.

According to Jean Michel Jarre’s Official Web-Site (www.jarre.net), Jean Michel Jarre has agreed to listen to and maybe discuss the possibility of releasing ‘FIRE & ICE’s ‘SOUVENIR DE CHINE’ Remix as a CD Single in the near future. JARRE UK spoke to Jurgen Leyers today about this recent development, and asked for his reaction to the News, “It’s fantastic News for us, let’s hope Jean Michel Jarre likes our Remix as much as we do”.

‘JARRELOOK’ The UK Jean Michel Jarre Tribute Band are to perform a Concert at Haslingden Public Hall in Haslingden, Lancashire on April 6th 2002 in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The 2-Hour Concert will be very similar to the ‘JARRELOOK’ Concert at the Charter Theatre, Guild Hall in Preston, Lancashire on November 30th 2001, with the Concert split into two halves with an Interval of 30 Minutes inbetween. The Doors Open at 19:30 (7:30pm), the Concert starts at 20:00 (8:00pm) and is expected to finish at approximately 22:30 (10:30pm).

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past 6 months, then you wont know who they are, so just to let those people know, JARRELOOK is the UK’s Jean Michel Jarre tribute band, who last performed in Preston’s Charter Theatre on Friday November 30th 2001.

JARRELOOK are now set to perform Haslingden Public Hall on Saturday April 6th 2002 (Haslingden is in Lancashire by the way). Tickets are initially set at around £7.50 - £8.00, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Also, as one of the band members lost a dear relative of their’s the day after JARRELOOK’s previous concert, the band have decided to give all profits made from this concert to charity, the British Heart Foundation.

‘OXYGEN IN MOSCOW’, a 1 Hour Edit of Jean Michel Jarre’s Record-Breaking Concert, is to be broadcast tonight on UK Cable & Satellite Channel Performance at 21:00 (9pm) (Local Time).

Jean Michel Jarre’s ‘OXYGEN IN MOSCOW’ Concert attracted the World’s Largest Audience for a Solo Artist when 3.5 Million people witnessed him perform outside the Moscow State University on September 6th 1997.

The ‘OXYGEN IN MOSCOW’ broadcast is identical to the ‘OXYGEN IN MOSCOW’ DVD & Video Release, with the exception of the Jean Michel Jarre Documentary ‘MAKING THE STEAMROLLER FLY’ which has already been broadcast on Performance on January 3rd & January 6th 2002.
